The Veg Cities site will close permanently on 1 January 2025.

Veg Cities is changing but our commitment to healthy food and more veg is not. We started Good Food Local, a new initiative to help local authorities prioritise good food and commit to action on a breadth of food issues including healthy food environments. Join the movement

About Veg Cities

Grow, cook, sell, serve and save more vegetables

Veg Cities is a feature campaign of Sustainable Food Places, led by food and farming charity Sustain in partnership with the wider Peas Please initiative.

Sustain, in collaboration with the Peas Please initiative, is working with local authorities, food groups and organisations from schools, to hospitals, workplaces, food growing enterprises and restaurants.

We need your help to get your city or local area growing, cooking, selling and saving more vegetables.
