Good advertising
Restaurants and catering
Encourage the best and restrict the worse food adverts.
When was the last time you saw an advert for carrots, peas or other vegetables? You probably can’t remember.
If your local authority or organisation owns or manages advertising space, this action is for you. Give preferential treatment or offer free advertising space to vegetables and healthier food adverts to encourage the best. And ideally complement this with a policy to restrict or levy junk food adverts to restrict the worse.
