The Veg Cities site will close permanently on 1 January 2025.

Veg Cities is changing but our commitment to healthy food and more veg is not. We started Good Food Local, a new initiative to help local authorities prioritise good food and commit to action on a breadth of food issues including healthy food environments. Join the movement

Restaurants and catering

Get more vegetables in every meal

Restaurants and cafes make up the fabric of our communities, and define the food choices of residents, workers and pupils. You can make a huge difference in your local area by sourcing locally grown vegetables, serving at least 2 portions of vegetables in every meal, training your staff and helping gather media and popular support for the campaign.
